Avodart (dutasteride) 0.5mg Capsules are a prescription-only medicine used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)—enlarged prostate—in adult men. The medication improves urinary flow, reduces the risk of acute urinary retention, and decreases the need for prostate surgery. It is also used off-label in some cases to treat male pattern baldness, due to its strong DHT-suppressing action.
